A project designed and developed for my Experiential Design class at RIT. The aim was to innovate an indy business idea, and redesign an existing storefront to reflect the stores aesthetic. As a challenge to myself, I decided to dream of a store that only sold fuchsia-colored drinkware. From mugs to teacups, this store had it all! Just in fuchsia.
THE CHOSEN STOREFRONT
I chose Russo's Imported Cheeses storefront for its vintage NYC and European market charm.

VISUAL RESEARCH
Conducted visual research, primarily looking at storefronts inspired by bodegas, 食料品店 (shokuryohin-ten), or মুদির দোকান (mudi'r dokaan). This was done partially to preserve the charm of the original storefront, and partially because it's nostalgic.

ROUGH SKETCHES
Used Illustrator to trace the store, preserving the original architectural structure. Played around with the color, tinted windows, and canopy designs.

REFINED SKETCHES
Chose two storefronts and further refined them using Blender and Illustrator. Storefront 1 features giant 3d mugs with a facade of different drinks inside. Storefront 2 features fun canopy patterns and a wood-slatted exterior. I went with the second storefront option since the first one was giving cafe.

INTERMEDIATE SKETCHES
Further developed the selected storefront. Used Blender and Illustrator to better visualize how the colors, texture, and tint would look together.

FINAL STOREFRONT DESIGN
Used Blender and Photoshop to create the final mockup.
